Thanksgiving Tour X Part 6

We flew from DC to Houston for our second Monday night game of the tour – Jacksonville @ Houston. We all agreed that the official tailgate party at Reliant Stadium was one of the best we had been to. The all-you-can-eat buffet was fantastic, the huge venue held 1000s of fans, and there were competitions and live music going on throughout. The Texans’ Steve Slaton made all the difference to the game, gaining over 100 yards, and bringing it home for Houston - 30-17. Before going to Houston airport, we took a tour of Reliant Stadium with Victor – our excellent and knowledgeable guide. Although we weren’t able to go down onto the field, it was interesting to see HUGE squares of turf being lifted in preparation for a Monster Truck Series. Tired, but happy, whilst waiting to board our plane some of the group shared their thoughts about the tour with our intrepid (annoying?????? – only joking Andy – you did a great job) cameraman. And Andy took his winnings from his old friend and NFL rival, Bob. Better luck next year Bob. Great football, great nightlife, great hotels and a really great bunch of guys. See you next year boys!
