Day 1 Tuesday December 26th

Arrive at Zurich airport where you'll be met by your Sports Travel Tours Representative who will get you aboard our private bus bound for Davos. On arrival in the mountain resort of Davos, we'll head to our hotel the 4-star Hard Rock with its incredible views out to the mountains. For lunch we are on the rooftop terrace where you'll enjoy lunch with 360-degree mountain views and the best and your first view of the unique Vaillant Arena, home of the Spengler Cup. Once lunch is over, we head into the Arena for game 1 of your Spengler Cup experience. After the excitement of the opening game walk back to the Hard Rock where we'll meet you on the Patio for our private in between games party. The party includes sumptuous traditional Swiss food, beer, wine and sodas, big screen TV's along with music. Then it’s time to head back over to the Arena for the evening game (game 2).

Day 2 Wednesday December 27th

Buffet breakfast is included each day, so make the most of the fabulous hot items as well as the more traditional meats, cheeses, and bread that this region is famous for. Then mid-morning we head over for our exclusive photo with the trophy. You'll get an individual photo as well as be part of the group photo - don't forget to post and make your friends back home jealous. You have some free time to explore the town and grab a little lunch before we head to the arena early for another exclusive photo this time on the ice just before game 3. We'll meet again up after the game at the between the games party, with more food and drink to get you ready for another evening game as two more teams do battle in pursuit of the famous trophy.

Day 3 Thursday December 28th

Another day and another amazing breakfast. The morning is free to enjoy some of the sights and sounds of the town before we meet up on the rooftop for lunch. Then we're once again off to the Arena for the final day of group games. At the end of game 5 we're back on the Patio at the Hard Rock for our now traditional in between games party before game 6 at the arena ends another amazing day of hockey in the mountains.

Day 4 Friday 29th December

After breakfast you have a choice of fun events to take part in. For those who want to etch their names into STT folklore we have the 2nd annual Bavarian Curling Competition (don't worry there are instructors who'll assist with the finer points of the game!!) if you fancy something more energetic then you can spend the morning on the historic outdoor rink skating to your heart’s content. If sightseeing is more to your liking, then why not take the funicular up to the top of the Schatzalp mountain with panoramic views across the local area, it’s a photographer’s dream - you can also relax in the Schatzalp Hotel with a hot drink just as Thomas Mann did 100 years ago whilst he penned the monumental novel The Magic Mountain. We meet for the final time on the rooftop for lunch before heading over for the first of the knockout games as the Quarter Finals begin. As usual in between the game we have our party where we'll not only have food, drink and fun but also live streams of the NHL games so you don't miss out on all the action back home. The evening sees the quarter finals conclude with game 8.

Day 5 Saturday 30th December

The morning is completely free for the first time. There are winter sport options galore as well as a chance to simply relax and take in the amazing views. This afternoon we have the first of the semi-finals, our last in between games party and then Semi Final 2.

Day 6 Sunday 31st December

The culmination of the 95th edition of the Spengler Cup comes today. After breakfast, we have a leisurely morning before heading over to the Arena as the lunchtime Final gets underway and a new Champion is crowned. You'll have the chance to enjoy the celebrations before heading back to the hotel to rest up for our New Year's Eve Party. Our Hockey New Year's Eve Party begins at 8pm - you're invited to come in your favourite Hockey jersey and we'll have big screen's showing the NHL action live throughout the night, as well as having some fun interactive games along with a smorgasbord of food and drink throughout the evening. We'll finish on the rooftop where you'll have a final view of the mountains whilst sipping champagne. It’s a great way to end your stay in Davos.  

Day 7 Monday 1st January

After a final breakfast we check out and head back through the mountains to Zurich Airport for your flight home.  

Q: Do you offer Flights for this package?

Q: If we choose to book our own flights what city should we arrive into and what time should we ensure we arrive?

A: You should arrive into Zurich (ZRH) as that is the only airport we provide transfers from. We would recommend you to arrive no later than 10am (Zurich time) to ensure there is time to get to Davos for the first event.

Q: Can we add extra nights at the start or the end of the trip in Davos or Zurich?

A: Yes, extra nights are available in Zurich before or after the trip concludes. We can also add extra nights in Davos, however we do not offer transfers from Zurich to Davos on other dates. The distance from Zurich to Davos is 150km and takes approx 2 hours. If you would like a quote for extra nights please call us on 1 866 476 7139.

Q: Are there any other ways to get from Zurich to Davos if I choose to arrive earlier or depart later?

A: There is a train that depart from Zurich to Davos Platz (about a 15 minute walk from the hotel). It is NOT a direct service there is at least 1 change to make.

Q: What meals are included in the package?

A: Breakfast is included every day at our Davos hotels. Where the itinerary shows a rooftop lunch this is also included. On days that do not show the rooftop lunch in the itinerary you will be expected to find your own lunch and pay for it. Where the itinerary states that there is an in between games party then this includes a 2 course meal which is included, the timing of this meal will be between 5.45pm and 7.45pm. Where this is not stated in the itinerary then you will be expected to find and pay for your own meal. Finally The New Year's Eve Party includes a 3 course meal and begins at 8pm.

Q: Where are the Tickets for the Spengler Cup Located?

A: As the official supplier for the competition our tickets are located between the blue lines and are guaranteed to be seated togetehr no matter the size of your party.
